Carlos Graphics is a general all service print shop based in down-town Ottawa that prints for larger and smaller clients a like. They are located in the Byward market and have had success through Carlos’ leadership and a well-rounded team.
Carlos’ Graphics will stand up to many print shops in terms of quality and service, and they have a fairly large team of students and those interested in print and design starting a career working there.
If there is any issue with Carlos’ graphics, and we are not sure there is – it would come down to the rates you end up paying to cover their prime-time down town location. While those who enjoy the convenience of a shop central to the market will appreciate their location, many buyers would prefer to be ordering the same items and paying less from a similar company.
Carlos, unlike many shirt printing and embroidery companies – is not specialized in dealing with shirts. They offer digital printing, banners and other promotional items along with their shirt services. This positions them well to help clients looking for a wide variety of printed items, but possibly under serving their clients who need custom printed shirts and clothing only.

I have been doing business at Carlos Graphics for over one year and have had approximately 500 hats embroidered over the course of this year. Recently I brought in a batch of hats to have the exact same design embroidered. Upon picking up the order, it was discovered that the design was not "exactly" as before (image was slightly smaller, colour of threads was different). This was understandable since the person who originally did all the embroidery has left and there was a new person who was in charge of the embroidery. All I asked was that we note the differences so the next batch can be made exactly the same as before.
The real problem occurred when I was given the bill, it was 60% higher than what I previously paid. The explanation was that due to the increase in minimum wage the price had increased from $6 to $10 per hat (there were 72 hats total). I explained that I was never told of the price increase and no one informed me of the new price when I dropped off the hats to get embroidered. However, the owner Carlos got irate and acted very unprofessional when I requested that I be charged the original price since I was never told about the price increase, especially since it was a 67% increase. As a fellow business owner, I can understand the rising costs of expenses, but I would never treat a customer like that, especially since I was more than accommodating regarding the fact that the hats were not competed to my satisfaction. I definitely would not expect this behaviour from the owner of the company. Another customer who heard this whole conversation also agreed that this was unacceptable.

I want to give this place a 2.5 because when I want the first time the place my order I had a new woman help me and then when I was placing my second order I did it over email do to they need to know what it should look like this was on coffee mugs. They only do white mugs and place what every your idea is as a photo on the mug. Also when I went to pick the lady who I was speaking with over email and when I pick both the mugs up spelt my name wrong and I told her and she was a little rude to me when I said something about it.
Over all this place is good for only putting photographes on the mugs nothing else you can only get a white mug when I was there.

Very positive experience.
I contacted them for pricing to print one custom t-shirt. Reply was fast, price was fair and communication efficient. I picked up my t-shirt 24 hours after approving the final proof.
